1. Am I guaranteed a position in the program if I apply?
- No, not all applicants are guaranteed a student position in the cohort. You must meet all application requirements, interview with staff, and be approved by the staff members in order to obtain a position in the cohort.
2. Can I obtain my prerequisites while in the program or do they need
to be completed prior to application?
- All prerequisites must be completed prior to the start of class. You may submit your application while still in a prerequisite class, but your acceptance will be pending the completion of all prerequisite classes with a passing grade of 70 or above and an overall average GPA of 2.5
3. What are the prerequisites for your programs?
- All prerequisites and enrollment steps can be found on the "Enrollment" page here.
4. How much is tuition and do you have any payment plans?
- Current tuition is $17,000 for the entirety of the echocardiography program. This does not include miscellaneous fees like textbooks, scrubs, clinical onboarding fees, etc. We offer an interest-free payment plan in which $5,000 is paid prior to the first day of class and the remaining $12,000 is dispersed over a 6-month period. We do not accept government funding at this time. Students are individually responsible for their tuition and it must be paid in full prior to the start of clinical rotations. Please reach out through our contact page to further discuss our payment plan.
5. Do you offer any other programs other than echocardiography?
If not, when will they be available?
- Other courses are currently under a planning period and do not have release dates yet. Such courses include vascular sonography, general sonography, pediatric echocardiography, and EKG. 6. Where are your in-person training sessions located?
- Right now, all in-person training sessions are held in Columbia, South Carolina.
7. How long is each in-person training period?
- In-person trainings vary in length from 3 to 5 days long. These are listed in the program schedule that is given to each student upon acceptance. Students are required to attend all in-person training sessions as a requirement of graduation.
8. Is housing provided for the in-person trainings?
- No. Housing, travel, and meal costs are responsibilities of the student. If any student wants suggestions on lodging options in the area, please feel free to reach out and staff will be happy to suggest some options.
9. Where can I do my clinical rotations?
- We currently have a number of clinical partners, of which the majority are located within South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. If you wish to do your clinical rotations elsewhere, we ask that you provide the name of the hospital and the contact information for its echo lab manager when you submit your application. We will do our very best to obtain a contract with your lab of choice and if we cannot, we will work with you to explore other viable options.
10. When does the echo program begin and end?
- The course begins on May 26th, 2026 and finishes on May 1st, 2027. We are currently planning to open a second cohort that begins in December and finishes the following December. Stay tuned!
